Biography
Zhang Li, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yidu, Shandong province. He was born in 1943, joined the PLA in 1964 and joined the CPC in 1966. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 2001. Zhang became deputy chief of the PLA general staff in 2000. He is an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
